The 34 homes at Desert Springs Estate, in Palm Desert, are beautifully designed. Each one offers a different layout. The homes are on the same grounds at the luxury Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa. The grounds are gated for added security to the residents.
Homeowners and guests are granted access to all amenities of the resort & spa. By phoning the resort concierge you can book a restaurant reservation, schedule tee time for the next day, or order room service right to your home. Coming home will be like going on vacation.
The two 18-hole golf courses were specially designed for championship golfing. Many golf professionals, and Hollywood stars have golfed there. The courses were both designed by Ted Robinson, international golf architect. They also have a driving range and putting green for those that want to practice without doing the whole course. The club house and golf shop can provide you with all you need to play the great sport of golf, or you can rent clubs as well. If you have never picked up a club, lessons are provided at the golf club, and kids golf for free.
While you’re golfing you will be in for a treat with their state of the art golf carts. They have a navigational computer system, which provides graphic layouts of each hole, monitors pace-of-play, gauges exact distance to the pin, and gives advice and tips from professionals on the best way to play the hole. These fancy cart computer programs help lower scores, and enable faster playing time, as well as they are fun to play with.
The 6 amazing restaurants offer diverse dining experiences that will certainly tantalize your taste buds. There is the Poolside Bar & Grill, The Lobby Bar, Sushi Bar, Starbucks, Costa’s Lounge (21 and over), Fisherman’s Landing, Mikado Japanese Steakhouse, and Rockwood Grill. So whatever you appetite is craving, you will be able to satisfy it within one of these different restaurants.
The kids club is sure to please the young ones. The professional club counselors provide a worry-free and safe environment. Children explore their creativity while having fun making crafts, playing video games, going to the pool, and playing games with new friends they make at the kids club. The Resort Spa is a 38,000 square foot facility. A relaxing treatment in one of the 48 spa rooms will help you feel rejuvenated after a day at work, or a hot day gardening. They offer holistic massages, aloevera/aroma oil/herbal wraps, custom facials, manicures/pedicures, eye treatments, salon services, waxing, sports massage, European Scrub, couples massage, and full day spa packages.
If all the JW Marriott Resort & Spa amenities don’t keep you busy enough, then you can check out the surrounding area of Palm Springs. The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens is an amazing place to spend the day. They recommend staying at least 4 hours to see everything in the park. The best time to see the zoo animals is in the morning when the weather is still cool, and the animals are at their peak activity time.
There is a vast list of animals, from all around the world that you can visit and learn about at the zoo. This is just a small list of the mammals: Porcupines, wild dogs, badgers, Leopards, Cheetah, bobcats, Camels, Zebra, jaguars, lions, sheep, giraffe, fox, and armadillos. There are also large lists of reptiles, birds, and amphibians that shouldn’t be missed. Don’t forget to visit the garden area of the park, as it has over 1400 different species of plants that represent typical desert North America and Africa plant collections.
Along with the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, there is plenty more recreational options, and sight-seeing to do; such as the Palm Springs Art Museum, Knott’s Oasis Waterpark, Canyon Scenic Tours, Casino’s, the Tramway, Joshua National Park, scenic hiking trails, different restaurants, and the mall and shopping area.
