Tradition’s Iconic History
The estate that became Tradition Golf Club in 1998 was originally homesteaded in 1902 by John Marshall. It was later named “La Quinta” for the small house Marshall built on the property. Marshall eventually added the main ranch house to the property, which was designed by noted architect Gordon Kaufmann, who went on to design the La Quinta Resort.
