The Citrus at La Quinta is a country club that is affiliated with the California’s world class residential complex called La Quinta Resort & Club. The city of La Quinta from Riverside Valley County in California is the top golf destination in the United States, according to some sources.
This resort city is called “The Gem of the Desert” which is well known for its citrus fragrances that are given by the citrus groves. Because of its wonderful story, its amazing environments and many other reasons, the area has become a legend. The Citrus is situated exactly in the heart of the complex.
Around the resort, you can find two awesome objectives: Palmilla and Mountain View Country Club. The specific attraction of The Citrus at La Quinta is its golf club. People who choose this golf club can benefit from access to the best amenities of La Quinta, a place in which old Spanish architectural styles have been revived.
You will be able to witness a full spectrum of Spanish Colonial features, such as signature blue trim, amazing archways and bright Bougainvillea plants. The clubhouse area is ideal for gatherings of people who want to talk about the golf course or about anything else while they eat the tastiest foods made by Chef Kevin Lau.
There is an area called The View, where people can talk about the great times they had when they were out there, breathing the fresh air and enjoying the golf rounds. Members can also enjoy the desert sun while they relax or swim in the crystal clear pools.

This secondary fitness center and the lap pool were both developed in 2008, when an update was made on The Citrus clubhouse.
There are two primary entries in the community. The first one is between Washington Street and Jefferson Street and the other one is on Pomelo Street. If you are the owner of a residence in this area, the membership for the golf courses, the fitness center and the social area is included. If you are just visiting the place, you will need to pay for the membership. The homes that are available for people who want to buy them and have a surface of up to 7,980 square feet. New homes have been constructed.
You can go on three different golf courses: Citrus, Mountain and Dunes. The Citrus course is known for its vibrant colors and the astonishing view of Santa Rosa Mountains. The lush terrain and the multitude of sand bunkers and water hazards make this course very exciting. This is one of the greatest 18-hole courses, with the largest practice facility in the area. The sets of tees can provide excitement for each golfing skill.
The Mountain course has been carved into the stone of the Santa Rosa Mountains. This 16 hole course is popular because of its unique design and amazing visuals. A particular magazine has included it in its top 100 courses. The Dunes course can be described as a course with dramatic landscapes from the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains.
This is a link-style course that encourages accuracy from the tee and precise shots. The green areas are well-protected. All these courses have been designed by one person: Pete Dye. There are also three additional courses for people who have the Desert Membership, so the total number of courses is six.
The Citrus at La Quinta members can play as much as they like on these high quality golf courses, with a cap of 350 per course. You can see the Santa Rosa Mountains from all of them. As you play on the Citrus course, you will surely feel the fragrance and notice the beauty of citrus trees.
Other notable characteristics can be lush greens, water hazards and sand bunkers. This layout is actually specific to Peter Dye.
